Such mixed emotions. We are all very proud of the work we were able to accomplish, BUT, we are leaving behind some very dear friends.
We finished the painting we were given to do. We finished the tiling we were given to do.
Over the years, we have touched every building you see in this picture. Some we painted, some we tiled and some we built from the ground up. All in expectation for that day when orphaned and abandoned children will call this place home.
So we are proud but also sad. We packed, cleaned, hugged on each other and said adios and chao. Volveremos!
And, reading a book to the crew. Who doesn’t like Biscuit in the Garden? I am thankful that we could bring our girls to see such beauty in the mountains. And, to be a part of what God is doing here in Caldas.
It’s a very real illustration of the body of Christ… “If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If everyone was a Susan, who would bring us snacks?
We are mindful of all of you who are praying for us and supporting us by keeping “normal” going without us. From those leading music to those taking care of our sick dogs. Thank you. We couldn’t be here without you.
Most of the time, when I stand up to stretch my back, my view is of the inside of my office. Today the view is a bit different.
