Listening to the frogs

I’m listening to the frogs. Tonight we sleep in a building that our team helped build. It’s surreal. I can start to imagine the boys that will live here; where they will sleep and put their shoes and hang their wet towels… we definitely need to add some hooks for that… I hope we can get a lot done this week and help this place open soon. Those boys are ready…

How tall have they grown?

Last year, our team planted these little trees. We also planted prayers, hugs and love into some little hearts. And, they planted hope in our hearts too. I am eager to get back to see how tall these things have grown. I will ask how they’ve grown in their knowledge and trust in Jesus. I will give them lots and lots of hugs. And look them in the eye to imprint their smiles upon my heart. And, I will watch my girls flourish and grow taller by being in their midst. Oh to be “like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”
